As one of the Mangwanani Brand Ambassadors in Cape town, I was invited to attend the Grand Opening of the Boutique Spa at Mandela Rhodes. We were welcomed in the familiar, warm Mangwanani greetings of African singing and dancing.
The spa is modern and luxurious. The reception area, manicure and retail product display areas are light and airy. As you leave this section of the spa and make your way towards the treatment rooms the ambiance changes. The lighting dims and the walls are darker, the colour tones are soft and warm. You walk down corridors and turns, and notice the beautiful design items that give the spa its unique feel. The setting seems to have a hint of romance and mystical adventure to it. One forgets that they are still in the city surrounded by bustling traffic.
The Spa has eight treatment rooms, a manicure station, a room where the foot rituals and head neck and shoulder massages are done, I think this is one of my favourite rooms as the lighting is so beautiful. The spa also has a dining room set up for Moonlight Night Spa’s And Afternoon Tea and an indoor pool.
Staff from all the Mangwanani branches in the Cape attended the Grand Opening. It was as though one big family had come to celebrate with singing and dancing. I also had the opportunity of meeting some fellow Cape Town brand ambassadors.
Some of the little touches that add romance and prettiness to the spa.
Enjoying a complimentary hand treat by the lovely Monica.
On walking through the spa I knew I had to make a return trip and so a few days later I booked a couples treat for my hubby and I. (post on the treatment to follow)
